Campaign Story

My name is Jane, and when I was 11 years old I had to go through major emergency surgery due to large ovarian cysts that grew very rapidly. There was about 16 pounds of mass in my lower abdomen and due to the size, my surgeon was only able to save half of one of my ovaries. I grew up the rest of my life thinking I could still have a normal pregnancy, and at such a young age I was naive and wasn’t thinking about the heartache it would bring me not to have my own child.

Now I am 24 years old and in a stable, loving relationship, praying that one day I can give us the child we so desperately want. Given my circumstances, I decided to go to a fertility specialist before we started trying to make sure everything was good to go. Unfortunately, I found out my egg quantity was incredibly low and I am just on the cusp of perimenopausal.

I’ve decided to go through egg retrieval and preservation to give my spouse and I the best chance possible to conceive our own baby. It would mean the world to us if anyone is willing to help. We are both still young and trying to navigate through this world, and this would really take off some of the burden this whole process holds.
